Twenty year old Selena Gomez may be best known for her pop music hits, her role on Disney’s Wizards of Waverly Place, and for her on-again, off-again relationship with teen heartthrob Justin Beiber, but the pint-sized actress and singer is showing that she is no diva when it comes to her concert demands. Gomez’s first large world tour begins this summer and the singer’s rider, a list of demands she requires, is extremely simplistic.
“Incense, pickles always. I don’t know. I actually have a boring rider. I’ll be honest…ramen. That’s what I have! I’m more about food – and apparently incense!” Gomez said in a recent interview with MTV NEws. She stated that she wants her concert to feel like a big “rave” and wants all of those who attend her concert to let loose and dance.
When compared to singer Mariah Carey, who once famously requested pink carpet, a pink podium, 80 security guards, 100 doves and 20 white kittens, Gomez’s requests are extremely simple and could likely be picked up at a local Dollar store for under $10.
The simple demands of the star may be one reason why she has become so popular as of late, even when her boy beau Beiber has been dealing with a serious lack of love from the fans.
Gomez will soon begin traveling for her upcoming world tour, titled Stars Dance, and the brunette beauty also shared her inspiration for the name.
“It’s actually a track on the record and I just felt it was a perfect name for every track that’s on the album,” she said. “They have their own individual stamp and style to it, but with this tour and wanting to incorporate more of the performing aspect, I thought it was the perfect way for kicking it off.”
